OKay so today was first chemo treatment and boy-it's fun. Take blood first and who doesn't love that? Then they analyze it because hey, you could have low blood count and then they can't even give you chemo so after waiting 3 months to get it, they can refuse to treat me if I DARE have any cold, fever, low blood count etc. No wonder people die from this! Anyhoo, went off well and had the lovely help of Isabel and Autumn (yes adorable too) from Rush Hospital. Accompanied by my sister and daughter and piles of mags and my Kindle we waited an hour or more for bloodwork to come back and get the ok--which was a thrill but they give you the little vibrating call gizmos like they do at The Cheesecake Factory so you get to roam the hospital while you wait and that's another treat!! Chemo is no fun--burns going in a bit--but they do try to make it comfy and of course if your blackberry works in there you are GOLDEN! Got to check e-mail etc. SUPPORT is imperative so I cannot thank my staff enough for the fabulous chemo basket they had on my desk yesterday--I mean everything from lip balm to heavy duty skin cream to books, mags, lollipops, soft socks--you name it--but best of all-who can live without a pink breast cancer special edition SNUGGIE?
This disease gives you a whole new affection for the color pink, doesn't it?

You are something else, Rhonda. And I gotta say, you are looking HOT in that snuggie!
Are there any pics of you without the cell phone? (I know the answer to that).
Thoughts & prayers are with you, though I'm not sure you need them. The big "C" doesn't stand a chance against you, dear.
Love ya,
Sean

Good post, I like to leave comments because it allows bloggers to become more engaged and for the opportunity to perhaps learn from each other.
